This move created approximately 30 acres open for development in the center of Cold Spring along the Sauk River. Plans are to develop this area into office, retail and residential space. Cold Spring Granite has requested TIF (Tax Increment Financing) assistance from the City of Cold Spring, with negotiations in their final stages. Impact on the existing Cold Spring businesses has been one of the questions that have come up at city council meetings and at Chamber meetings. In response to these questions and concerns, a task force was formed consisting of several members of the Chamber's Board of Directors. A letter and survey was sent to all Cold Spring businesses regarding the proposed development of Cold Spring Granite Company's property in Cold Spring. Download a copy of the press release, letter and surveyhere for more information. Business owners and managers are encouraged to read all information provided to better understand the project, the benefits and potential effects on the Cold Spring community. Visit www.digelogrocori.com to watch an interview with Larry Lahr, Cold Spring City Administrator to learn more about the project. _________________________________________________ JOIN THE COLD SPRING AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCEChamber membership is open to individuals, local Non-Profit Organizations, and businesses of all sizes.
