What type of products or services do you offer?
The ARTess Experience Studio offers creative experience events. Focused around the fluid art painting style. There are a variety of monthly workshop or class events, or you can book a painting party. The are many different types of projects that can be created at one of these experiences. Canvas art, functional art, upcycled art, and there are also options for special request and tie dye!
What inspired you to start your business?
I started doing paint parties for groups of people, and really enjoyed having fun with people as they played with paint. Having a space to provide this fun seems a better fit than packing up all of the supplies and traveling with so much stuff. Since I live in Cold Spring it’s the best place for me to be- No Commute! This also gives me a working studio to keep creating my art.
When did you open your doors (or purchase the business), and what was that first year like?
The official opening was Black Friday of 2023. The first year has been successful and there have been events every month. The word is still spreading; folks are still curious what is in the ARTess Experience Studio.
What’s something you’ve learned about owning a business that you didn’t expect?
Social media really isn’t social (LOL)- I learned that you may think your reaching folks on social media, and I learned that most don’t see the post or events.
How has the community supported you throughout your journey?
The Chamber and other local business have supported the journey by promoting or by joining a workshop or hosting their own events.
How have you been able to support the local communities?
As an artist I am so excited to bring the artist vibe to the community. The studio is filled with one of a kind original pieces, from myself and other local artist. When you need something special and unique, there is always something interesting to find. You don’t have to drive to town to find a special gift for someone. Art is for everyone and better yet an experience.

I encourage folks to stop in when the open light is flashing. Be curious, be nosy! Art is fun, and fun to look at. And you got a pretty good chance of watching the creation process when you stop in.
