Celebrating Small Businesses

What type of products or services do you offer?
Residential mortgages- purchases and refinances
What inspired you to start your business?
Love of real estate and helping with homeownership. From a first-time home buyer, to a family buying a cabin or an investment property or refinancing to reduce the payment or take cash out for a home improvement. Every transaction is different and makes each day new!
When did you open your doors (or purchase the business), and what was that first year like?
I started in the mortgage industry in 2004 and opened Keystone Home Finance in May 2014.
What’s something you’ve learned about owning a business that you didn’t expect?
The MANY, MANY hats you wear. And sometimes, wearing many at one time.
I have always been a good multitasker. But, owning a business brings that skill to a whole new level!
What's a cause that is important to you?
Supporting law enforcement and military.
They sacrifice everything for us. They (and their families) deserve all the support we can give them.
How have you been able to support the local communities?
I grew up with parents who were small business owners. Supporting local was ingrained in me long before being a business owner myself. I love- Supporting, learning from and growing with other local businesses!
